Lamborghini Gallardo 2011 – Charcoal Grey Wrap

Let’s redo the Gallardo, the blue chrome looks amazing but we’ve decided to go for a color more stealth and take the time to do it perfectly… Charcoal grey ! I did the Evoque with it and it does look great, everyone loves this color.

The first thing we need to do before anything else, is to get rid of the blue chrome. Thankfully the Avery vinyl does come out pretty nicely and we did not have any bad surprises so that’s a good thing.

After two days taking the wrap off and dismantling the car we are ready to put the new color on. The car is already grey so Avery is perfect to get the best result and a great finish.

Avery supreme wrapping film is definitely the best vinyl available in the market in my opinion, it’s got the best durability and is really good to work with. The texture is also great but the only bad thing I can say about it, is depends the color you are going for, it may not be the best one. What I mean is the SWF is really thin, that’s why is so good to work with but because of that if you going from a dark to a bright color (let’s say from black to white or yellow) you’re color will be faded by your original paint because you can almost see through the vinyl. In this case, I think that 3M is better.

But anyway, I will do a post about the 3 main vinyl manufacturer, 3M, Avery and Hexis in the next weeks.

Maybe after about 30 Hours wrapping the car was ready. It looks really good as expected and the finitions are top. Is just missing now to get the windows tinted and it will be ready for Silverstone Classic & Supercars Motorshow.
